Girls Water Polo Banquet

Maddie's waterpolo banquet was so fun. She had so much fun getting dressed up and going to a fancy dinner with all her friends. Her friend Lauren was chosen as most improved. She has made great friends and they are such good girls. I love them all! Maddie received her JV letter and we enjoyed good food and a slide show. Congrats Maddie! You are awesome!

Brand New Eagle Scout

Wes had his board of review last Thursday night. After much and much work, Wesley is an Eagle Scout. We are so excited for Wesley. Congratulations! We love you Wes!

Wes was asked who he would spend time with if he only had one day to live, and he said, his grandpa. He spoke of his love, respect, and admiration for his grandpa. I had to throw that in. I thought it was so sweet!

More Birthday fun in the Sun

Fun, friends, and Abuela. Maddie crocheted a sweet little purse for Carina. It's adorable! We made slime too. It turned out a lot firmer than I remember, but the girls still had fun playing with it.

Wow! Carina is 10!

Carina had such a fun birthday. She requested a cake made out of fruit. We had amazing weather for March so the girls got wet and made a water slide out of the play structure. Aren't they cute?

The Powell Redwood Forest

We spent an afternoon near Santa Cruz in the redwoods. It was amazing! It is simply amazingto see the size of these trees. The granddaddy of them all was 270 feet tall. We are standing in front of it in the family picture. It's crazy but you can't see the sun when you walk through the forest. It feels damp and cold and smells so good!

San Francisco with cousins

We took a little vacation and went to visit Q and Shelly. We had such a great time with Q, Shelly, and the boys. The weather was amazing for San Francisco! 70 degrees in February! We visited the Presidio, drove on the Golden Gate, and took a ferry from Sausalito back to Fisherman's Wharf. We took the cable car, watched street performers, and ate authentic clam chowder on yummy sourdough bread.

Fisherman's Wharf

After taking the ferry, we arrived at the wharf and I spotted Nigella Lawson signing her latest cookbook. The kids said I just froze and stared at her through the window. We got in line to get her book, but after looking through it I realized it wasn't my style. Too cuch of a comfort food type of book. Anyway, it was fun seeing her.
