Wonder Girl!
Carina is growing up before our very eyes! I still try to hold her and cradle her like a baby. I know it's hopeless but I am hanging on. She is so bright, sweet, and fun. She made honor roll and received a writing award for her amazing stories. She was also Mustang of the Month last month.
We also had fun together at the Spring Carnival. Carina especially liked the inflatable slide. We love our darling girl!

Girls Water Polo Banquet
Maddie's waterpolo banquet was so fun. She had so much fun getting dressed up and going to a fancy dinner with all her friends. Her friend Lauren was chosen as most improved. She has made great friends and they are such good girls. I love them all! Maddie received her JV letter and we enjoyed good food and a slide show. Congrats Maddie! You are awesome!
Brand New Eagle Scout
Wes had his board of review last Thursday night. After much and much work, Wesley is an Eagle Scout. We are so excited for Wesley. Congratulations! We love you Wes!
Wes was asked who he would spend time with if he only had one day to live, and he said, his grandpa. He spoke of his love, respect, and admiration for his grandpa. I had to throw that in. I thought it was so sweet!

The Powell Redwood Forest
We spent an afternoon near Santa Cruz in the redwoods. It was amazing! It is simply amazingto see the size of these trees. The granddaddy of them all was 270 feet tall. We are standing in front of it in the family picture. It's crazy but you can't see the sun when you walk through the forest. It feels damp and cold and smells so good!
San Francisco with cousins
We took a little vacation and went to visit Q and Shelly. We had such a great time with Q, Shelly, and the boys. The weather was amazing for San Francisco! 70 degrees in February! We visited the Presidio, drove on the Golden Gate, and took a ferry from Sausalito back to Fisherman's Wharf. We took the cable car, watched street performers, and ate authentic clam chowder on yummy sourdough bread.
