California

Some of you have asked me, and some may be wondering about our new place. We are renting the home, not buying it. We decided it would be best to rent right now and buy a home in a year.
Willie will be painting a couple of the 1980's rooms and removing the borders. We got really lucky to have found a house that big. It is almost 2100 square feet. If you know Burbank(close to downtown), you know that most houses are 50-80 years old and tiny. We are getting pretty excited to move and be closer to family and to lots of fun places.
We will be living very close to Griffith Park, the LA Zoo, the Hollywood Bowl, Huntington Library, and so much more. We will really miss Sierra Vista, especially our ward and our friends. We have met such wonderful people here.

Burbank

Well, we chose a spot. It's a nice little place in the hills.

Some pretty lousy pictures from my phone and some video of the new diggs can be found here.

Crazy Hair Afternoon

Saturday was a fun day for the kids because they got to play with friends. Maddie had Cheryllyn over all afternoon and for dinner and they laughed all day while making up silly hairdos(or hairdoos) for their barbies and themselves. They did each other's hair and they couldn't look in the mirror until they were done. Then they lined up the Barbies and had a contest for best Hair.

Best Friends

Some of you may not know yet that we are moving to California at the end of December. It hadn't hit me until recently. Today I had one of those moments. I took pictures of Kacie and Carina this morning before school and later stood and watched them walk away to the playground holding hands and being so happy. I stood there and cried for a couple of minutes. These girls love each other so much! They are really gonna miss each other. You know how some kids do well together and others don't, some kids are so easy to have over, and others are tons of work? Well, Kacie and Carina are amazing together! They have always been this way since they met about 3 years ago. Kacie is sweet, kind, and so easygoing. I babysit her before and after school and it has been the easiest babysitting job ever. Kacie is like part of the family. We love her!

80's Night

I just came across a picture of an 80's party we went to last year. My hair didn't get as BIG as Jenny's, but it was still Rad! We had a blast playing "Name that 80's Tune" and checking out each other's yearbook. Doesn't Willie look "like totally awesome?"

Halloween Night

The kids had a blast at trunk or treat. It's so fun to see all the kids from the ward and some from school that come out to the church for goodies. Wes is a big 12 year old this year, so he dressed up as a mummy (Wes' t.p. creation) and passed out candy. What a sport. He still scored some candy. I'm not that cruel!
Maddie was Marie Antoinette, Zach was Robin Hood, and Carina was Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie. So FUN!

Carina's Halloween Party

a

My friend Kari hosts an annual Halloween party for adults. It is always so awesome. This year she held one for kids also. It was for kids ages 5 and under. Carina had such a fun time with all her friends. Here is Kari with one of her kids, Peyton. Cinderella is Emi. The astronaut is Colin and the princess on the cell phone is Sariah. I will post pics of the adult party soon.
